The Club meets at the Colony Cottage Rec Center on the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month from 1 PM until 3 PM.

The Villages Model Train Club was started in October of 2006 and aims to increase members enjoyment and capabilities by building and operating layouts as individuals and groups. There are groups specializing the seven scales; G, O, Standard, S, HO, N and Z. Each scale group builds layouts which can be set up for display at public shows. Many members have a layout in their home which can be open for viewing and/or operating sessions.

(VRHS) The Villages Railroad Historical Society

The Club meets at the Colony Cottage Rec Center on the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month from 1 PM until 4 PM.

The Villages Railroad Historical Society is a group of men and women dedicated to fostering a deeper knowledge of railroading in Central Florida by encouraging the collection, preservation and interpretation of railroad history through conferences, publications, awards, educational programs and related historical activities. Members are presently building a model railroad in the Lady Lake Railroad Museum which represents railroad activity in the Lady Lake, Florida area in the 1940s & 1950s. The VRHS was incorporated and chartered as a non-profit 501c-3 Corporation in 2008. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations of trains, accessories, or equipment are also welcomed.
