Come to the largest Christmas model train show in Florida! The elves have been working hard all year to decorate 8,000 square feet with model train layouts! This KID FRIENDLY show will feature operating model train layouts in seven different scales, including a Lego train display!  
See N gauge re-creations of Wildwood, FL rail yards and the city of College Point, Queens, NY. Thomas the Train will also be there as part of an interactive layout. 
Anyone with a camera can have their picture taken looking out a steam engine while ringing a real railroad bell.

Show dates are Thursday, December 13th from 9 AM - 4 PM, Friday, December 14th from 9 AM - 4 PM, Saturday, December 15th from 9 AM - 4 PM, and Sunday, December 16th from 10 AM - 3 PM.

Admission is FREE!

The Villages Model Train Club is hosting its annual Winter model train show and Expo. 

This KID FRIENDLY show will feature over 140 tables of model trains, parts, clothing and related toys for sale. Engineer hats made in the U.S.A. will be available for sale. There will also be operating model train displays in 6 different gauges as well as a Lego train display. Thomas the Train will also be there as part of a kid-friendly interactive layout of Sodor Island.  

Anyone with a camera can have their picture taken looking out a steam engine while ringing a real railroad bell.

Food and drinks will be available from a concessionaire and there is plenty of FREE parking.

There will also be raffles for a train set and every hour will feature a free door prize.

Show dates are Saturday, February 2nd from 9 AM - 4 PM and Sunday, February 3rd from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Admission is $6.00 and kids under 12 are free with a paying adult. Make copies of our coupon and save $1 off admission.

(VMTC) The Villages Model Train Club



The Club meets at the Colony Cottage Rec Center on the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month from 1 PM until 4 PM.

The Villages Model Train Club
was started in October of 2006 and aims to increase members enjoyment and capabilities by building and operating layouts as individuals and groups. There are groups specializing the seven scales; G, O, Standard, S, HO, N and Z. Each scale group builds layouts which can be set up for display at public shows. Many members have a layout in their home which can be open for viewing and/or operating sessions.


(VRHS) The Villages Railroad Historical Society



The Club meets at the Colony Cottage Rec Center on the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month from 1 PM until 4 PM.

The Villages Railroad Historical Society is a group of men and women dedicated to fostering a deeper knowledge of railroading in Central Florida by encouraging the collection, preservation and interpretation of railroad history through conferences, publications, awards, educational programs and related historical activities. Members are presently building a model railroad in the Lady Lake Railroad Museum which represents railroad activity in the Lady Lake, Florida area in the 1940s & 1950s. The VRHS was incorporated and chartered as a non-profit 501c-3 Corporation in 2008. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations of trains, accessories, or equipment are also welcomed.
