N Scale Model Railroading

The N Scale Division includes about 20 enthusiastic members who operate “Anywhere USA,” a seven‑module, 41‑foot layout showcasing railroad operations found across the country. The modules feature detailed industrial scenes such as a coal‑fired power plant, port facility, container yard, paper and saw mills, and logging and mining operations—highlighting the essential role railroads play in supporting American industry.

Members use a mix of scratch‑building, kit‑bashing, and creative techniques to bring these scenes to life. Their latest major project is an expansive steel mill complex, capturing the scale and complexity of steel production and the railroads that move raw materials and finished products.

The division thrives on teamwork, with members contributing skills in electrical work, carpentry, painting, and scenery. Experienced modelers mentor newcomers, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment.

Public shows and exhibitions allow members to share their passion and educate visitors about the importance of railroads, past and present. The annual Christmas show—featuring a raffle of a small model railroad—is a favorite tradition for both the club and the community.
